Reviewing Techs and Gadgets

Reviewing technology products and electronic gadgets require good source of finances, contacts, and good writing skills.  Why did  I say these, well these three attributes are really necessary for a blogger, especially tech blogger, to have access on most of the latest technology products and gadgets available in the market today.  

Finances, of course isn't it obvious that these technology and gadgets are really expensive and buying them just to review and write what you think about the products is something not practical but of course if your wealthy enough and collecting gadgets is your hobby then go.

Contacts, if a blogger does have a wide range of friends, PR friends, and gadget store owners it would be easy to at least have a taste of the tech and gadget that you're going to review.  Some store owners and companies do lend their gadgets to bloggers for a review.  They call this as review unit.  So tech and gadget blogger enthusiast can a have a feel and taste of the unit but of course it should be returned afterwards.  If you're lucky and they decided to giveaway then it's yours.

Good writing skills, writing a very good and in-depth review of certain products helps the blogger be well-known in the blogosphere, as a result big companies will contact you and try to give you or lend you products and gadgets for you to review.  So it's more of "in return" for making a review of their products.

So if you're a start up tech blogger, you can simply start with what you have.  Once you're good enough maybe things will just follow.  Blogging for techs and gadgets doesn't have to be expensive.  Just write what your views are.
