If you’re a student of any creative graphics media, particularly in graphic design, then you’d better read this article.
Adobe Systems Inc. has issued a call for entries for the 9th Annual Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). A competition made to honor the best and talented student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers, and computer artists from the accredited higher education institutions worldwide.
The competition partnered with the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda) and will hold the ceremony in Beijing, China on October 2009 during the Icograda World Design Congress. 2,500 delegates from around the globe will attend the Congress at the China National Convention Center.
As part of the prizes to be won the winners will be invited to attend the said Congress.
The Competition is open to all students in 40 countries. Check out their website to view all 40 countries allowed to enter the competition.
So to all aspirants from the other countries lets just hope that will be added on the next competition.
For those who are in the said country try to submit one through online until June 5, 2009. The online submissions will be judged digitally in June. For the final phase of judging, semifinalists will be asked to submit their source files and a physical aspect of their entry as it is meant to be viewed. Like I said before part of the prizes and being one of the finalists is to be invited in Beijing, China and the Icograda World Design Congress and awarded software and cash prizes.
